Neoprene comes in several foam styles and densities with the most common and least expensive being an SBR foam. Most neoprene’s have a laminate such as a nylon Lycra or Velcro loop on one or both sides. It comes in thickness from 1.0mm to 7mm.

Our Neoprene is made of 85% SBR and 15% CR Foam, this Neoprene is not as resistant to Ozone as other types of neoprene rubbers but it is more cost effective and universal among most applications.

There are 3 types of Rubber produced to accomodate the many different applications where neoprene is used.

CR - Polychloroprene Rubber. Neoprene polychloroprene is an extremely versatile synthetic rubber, It was originally developed as an oil-resistant substitute for natural rubber. Soft and stretchable. Most commonly used in all types of water sports and protective gear

SBR - Styrene Butadiene Rubber is like natural rubber in its resistance to mild solvents and chemicals and, like natural rubber, can be successfully bonded to many materials.

EPDM - EPDM rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene M-class Rubber) is an elastomer which is characterized by wide range of applications. EPDM has outstanding heat, ozone and weather resistance.
